• Many vintage items are better made, using better materials than the ones you can buy currently from the stores; for example the hardware of vintage Chanel items used to be gilded in 24 carat gold. Chanel stopped using real gold in 2008, and the only way of getting hold of one with 24 carat gold gilding, is to buy pre-loved

• Pre-loved goods have a back story as they have lead a previous life, so it's interesting to wonder who carried them and where they have already been in the world
