Hermès vintage Les Tambours silk scarf in black

Pattern designed by Joachim Metz in 1989

This beautiful vibrant design depicts drums used by the battalion drummers, who were part of the Imperial Guard under Napoleon III in the mid 18th century. At the centre of the design there are Imperial Guard uniform epaulettes. The drum above 'Hermès – Paris' is an etching from the personal collection of Émile Hermès

Includes the original box which states 'Faubourg Saint-Honoré before the 'Paris'. This is a vintage box, conducive to the date of the scarf, and is very rare to find, especially with the original care card and scarf in practically brand new condition
